Mohamed Suleiman Al-Gendi

Muhammad Suleiman bin Muhammad Taqi al-Din al-Jundi (August 24, 1881 - October 24, 1955) was a Syrian linguist, teacher, and poet. Born in Ma'arat an-Nu'man, he moved with his father, the mufti, to Damascus where he studied under its scholars. He worked at the Diwan al-Rasa'il from 1918 to 1924, then became a professor of Arabic literature, and later served as the dean of the Sharia College in 1948.
