Rashid Rida

Mohammad Rashid Rida (1865-1935) was an Islamic thinker, journalist, and literary linguist during the Ottoman period. He is considered one of the pioneers of Islamic reform at the beginning of the fourteenth century Hijri and was a student of Sheikh Muhammad Abduh. Rida founded "Al-Manar" magazine in the style of "Al-'Urwah Al-Wuthqa," which was established by his mentor.
