Stanley Lane-Poole

Stanley Lane-Poole (December 18, 1854 – December 29, 1931) was a British Orientalist and archaeologist. His uncle was Edward William Lane. Born in London, he worked at the British Museum from 1874 to 1892 and later conducted research in Egypt on Egyptology. From 1897 to 1904, he held the chair of Arabic studies at Dublin University.
