Tantawi Jawhari

Sheikh Tantawi Jawhari (1870-1940), an Egyptian Muslim scholar and writer, is known for his work "Al-Jawahir fi Tafsir Al-Qur'an Al-Karim." He was a polymath who combined various seemingly contradictory fields of study. A scholar of Al-Azhar, he developed a methodological approach in his book "Al-Jawahir" regarding the relationship between Quranic verses and science. Additionally, he contributed writings on music and was a proponent of global peace and a nationalist fighter against imperialism.
