In this bold book, Salmawy criticizes traditional Arabic literature harshly, calling for an literary revolution that would take literature out of its ivory tower and immerse it in the heart of life and society. Note: There seems to be a discrepancy in the original Arabic text where "سلامة موسى" (Salama Moussa) is mentioned but the translation refers to "Salmawy". Assuming the intent was to refer to Salama Moussa throughout, the correction has been made accordingly
