Zadig
Zadig is a wise young Babylonian whose cleverness and kindness bring one misfortune after another: envy, exile and slavery. Along the way he deduces what he never saw, and the question of fate and luck unfolds in a satirical oriental tale.
Age rating: Ages 16 and up. Content notes: A satirical tale with jealousy, injustice, slavery, a beating and a widow's burning; nothing gory.
