1. Who we are

Sutur (sutur.ink) is a small independent project. It is not affiliated with any publisher, author or translator, and it does not speak for them.

2. Your account

Reading needs a free account. Give a real email address, keep your password and passkeys to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

You may sign in with a password, a passkey or your Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

You can delete your account and its data at any time in Settings.

3. The books and the licence

The art and page layout are made by Sutur with AI tools, and the Arabic lettering is set in code. They are released under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0): you may read, download, share and adapt them, even commercially, as long as you credit Sutur and link to the licence.

The original texts belong to their authors and translators. Most come from Hindawi Foundation's open library (safahat.org), also under CC BY 4.0. Each book page names its source. The licence page explains exactly what is covered.

Because the pictures are drawn by AI, they can contain mistakes: a wrong hand, a drifting face. Tell us and we will fix and republish.

4. What you may do

Read, download, print and share the books under the licence above. Use the site for your own learning and enjoyment.

Send an invitation to a friend with the invite button. We send the message once and do not keep the address for any other use.

5. What you may not do

Do not break the site, overload it, scrape it faster than a person reads, or try to get into other people's accounts.

Do not use the site to harass anyone, to post unlawful material, or to pretend to be someone else.

Do not remove the credit and licence notice when you share or adapt a book.

6. What you post

Notes and comments can be public or private. A public note is shown with your name and photo. You keep the rights to what you write, and you give Sutur permission to show it on the site while it is there.

We may remove a note or comment that is abusive, unlawful or off-topic. You can delete your own at any time.

No abuse, harassment, hate, sexual content, threats or spam. Use Report on any profile, thought or post, and Block to stop seeing someone. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content or accounts that break these rules.

7. Age and content

Each book shows an age rating and content notes. Some books are rated for older readers and ask your date of birth before opening. Parents and guardians decide what is right for children.

8. Email

We send you the mail an account needs: welcome, password reset, a receipt for a first download. We may also send an invitation to an address on our contact list, once, with an unsubscribe link in the message.

9. No guarantee

Sutur is free and is provided as it is. We try to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we are not liable for losses that come from using it, to the extent the law allows.

10. Changes and ending

We may change these terms or the site. If a change is important we will say so on the site. Continuing to use Sutur after a change means you accept it.

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. You can stop using Sutur whenever you like.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo can decide disputes, without removing any rights you have under the law where you live.
